Feb 24, 2023 · The Z3 was designed to be deliberately ‘vintage’ in its driving behavior, while the Boxster was more of a modern sports car for its time. I drove a Boxster S once. It was faster, better-handling, and the interior was one notch better in quality. But I just prefer the Z3’s looks and will always have a soft spot for a straight six. No regrets! Although for me personally it’s a shame the rotary knob isn’t on the left and a bit smaller. It’s still the only aftermarket unit I’ve seen I would actually consider installing. But I’m a strictly factory person so that includes enjoying the tinniness of the original while listening to Radio 2.
